Once again our amazing Livermore breweries have collaborated on a new batch of Livermoron West Coast IPA for our annual Livermoron Release.

All donation proceeds from this event and a portion of sales of Livermoron West Coast IPA from our supporting locations will go directly to our friends at the Open Heart Kitchen, helping them provide healthy food support to families in need.

Livermoron West Coast IPA will be served up fresh on all stops on the crawl (list below).

Alameda County Community Food Bank — Feeding America’s 2016-2017 Food Bank of the Year – has been at the forefront of hunger relief efforts in the Bay Area since 1985. The Food Bank serves 1 in 4 Alameda County residents by distributing food through a network of 420+ food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community organizations, as well as direct-distribution programs including Children’s Backpack and Mobile Pantry. More than half of the food distributed is farm-fresh produce. For 15 consecutive years, Alameda County Community Food Bank has received Charity Navigator’s top rating — Four Stars — ranking the organization among the top 1 percent of charities nationwide.

About the Alameda County Food Bank:

Food Insecurity has increased 50%+ since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. We now estimate at least 1 in 4 county residents is experiencing or at-risk of hunger.
Our operations have expanded dramatically. Food distribution is up 50-70% with expanded services (e.g., contactless drive-through distributions) in addition to our agency network.
We’re distributing more than 1 million pounds of food each week.
We’re distributing enough food to serve 60,000+ people a day.
300 of our regular distributions are still operating during this emergency. We’ve also added more than 20 new distributions.
We have partnered with 12 school districts across the county to provide emergency food bags and fresh produce.
We’ve added three pop-up drive-through distributions. Combined, the distributions are serving 20,000+ people each week.
When this crisis began our Emergency Food Helpline experienced a 1,000% increase in calls. Months in, the volume remains 2-3 times what it was before the crisis. Between one-third and half of the volume comes from first time callers and/or calls from households with seniors.
